Greater Calamus Community Endowment

The Greater Calamus Community Endowment is a managed endowment fund focused on improving the Calamus community.

This charitable fund is a permanent account whereby the earnings will be earmarked, dedicated and allocated each year. A committee will make an annual selection from the grant applications. The recipients of the grants will continue working on improvements for this community.

The proceeds of the endowment fund earnings are to be allocated annually to an identified need within the greater Calamus Community.

All residents of the community and the surrounding area are invited to send improvement ideas or needs to the co-chairs or committee investors. A decision will be made for the annual betterment project.

By making a tax-deductible contribution to the fund, individuals or businesses will know they are touching lives and making the community stronger and more attractive.

Those donors will benefit from the tax advantage of an arrangement with LincolnWay Community Foundation, which provides an Iowa tax credit of 25 percent.
